Hi guys!
Finally, finally, finally! Desert Home is up and running. It is available for free with Kindle Unlimited, or to purchase on any Kindle device.
This story, like many of them, has had a long history with me. The original idea is at least ten years old, and the original first draft dates back at least five. It is one of the many stories that I half-finished and then put away when something new and shiny caught my attention. That was my habit for a long time. In fact, it has been so much my habit that my back log is sitting at 265 files… So yeah. Most of those stories will probably never see the light of day, but good news is, if I ever do have a block, I have a bunch of ideas to pick from that I can work on.
Thankfully, I’ve wrangled myself a little and made some changes to my process. I even have plans! Who would have thought?
Currently
I am beginning the editing process for the next book in my line up, with a tentative publish date of April 1st (no it's not a prank). It is a high fantasy-romance called Forge and Vine.
I am also continuing to write the first draft of a new urban fantasy series called The Professor's Apprentice. See my project page for more info on these two works.
Plans
Over the next couple of years, I will mostly be focusing on publishing stand-alones as I work through my back log of worthy tales, but don’t worry! I will be interspersing revisits to some of the worlds that I have already introduced my readers to.
Right now, I have plans for the world of the Tagordian League. I also plan to release at least volume one of my The Professor’s Apprentice trilogy. Again, see my project page for info on more upcoming books.
Thanks to everyone who have reached out to me through email, who have read the blog, who have purchased either or both of my books, and to those who have reviewed the books. I appreciate it more than you know. All of this: the website, the blog, publishing these books is a dream twenty plus years in the making, and I am grateful for each and every one of you.
I look forward to hearing more from you as we continue this journey together.
