Hello again.
I have mentioned at least once that I keep a bullet journal. I know that there is a big community that is interested in how various people go about creating and maintaining a bullet journal (hell, I’m part of it), so I thought I would give you a quick tour of mine. I’ve been using a bujo for about a year, but it’s only been in the last six months that I have been using it consistently. I hope you enjoy some of my spreads.
Like many others, I use the A5 size Leuchtturm 1917 journal, with a dot grid. I just pick whichever color looks good to me at that moment. Right now I’m in the sage green.
At the front I have the standard key and index. Then my future log.
I use pre-printed stickers for the months.
I usually pick a color scheme. I like to use markers and washi tape to make it visually appealing. I am also addicted to getting stickers and other planner type flare materials. Some spreads are much simpler than others, it just depends on how I'm feeling in the moment.
After my future log, I have several spreads that track things like my freelance work, my blog posts, fiction writing, and any courses I’m taking. They are simple tables with very little decoration to maximize the writing space.
Then I have a series of to do type spreads. Books to read, blogs/podcast/YouTube channels to check out. Basically, a bunch of stuff that is either recommended to me or I hear about in other content that I consume. Again, very simple tables. Here is an example.
After that I get into my monthly spreads. Here is a sample of some that I have most months.
After that, I have my weeklies.
Also peppered throughout, I add quote and motivation pages. I get most of my stuff from magazines and the internet. I print out memes and clip art that speak to me. Sometimes I create a collage and sometimes I just dedicate the whole page to it.
I usually take some time every morning and night to set intentions, and I update it throughout the day. It goes everywhere with me. I add spreads as I need them and then track where they are in the index. For example, this week I added a notes page for a SkillShare class that I took about wellness.
I hope you enjoyed this quick look into my bujo and if you have any questions, please feel free to comment below.
